AI Upskilling Co-Facilitator & Coordinator
The operational engine behind Sia's AI Schools. You hold the participant journey together, from UN diplomats in New York to refugees in displacement contexts, and make sure every learner has an equally excellent, dignified experience.
What this role actually is
This is not a teaching assistant position. It is not a scheduler. It is the operational and facilitation engine that makes Sia AI's learning programs run, and run well, at scale.
You will be the person who ensures that a UN diplomat in New York, a parliamentarian in Nairobi, a civil society leader in Jakarta, and a refugee in a displacement context all have an equally excellent, dignified, and meaningful learning experience inside a Sia program. That is a real challenge. It requires organizational clarity, human warmth, and the ability to context-switch rapidly without losing quality.
We run AI Schools for governments, international organizations, and development institutions. Our participants range from people with limited digital access to ministers and judges. The person in this role holds that entire participant journey together.
What you’ll be doing
Program coordination
- Manage the full participant lifecycle: calls for applications, selection coordination, onboarding, session management, and offboarding.
- Set up and manage online learning environments across platforms (LMS, Zoom, or whatever the program demands).
- Monitor participant engagement, quiz performance, and progression. Flag issues early, not after the fact.
- Coordinate facilitators, guest speakers, and technical support across time zones.
- Document programs thoroughly: session notes, attendance, outcome tracking, evaluations.
Participant experience
- Communicate with a wide participant base (executives, ministers, refugees, disability communities, low-tech users), adjusting your tone and approach for each.
- Ensure no participant is left behind without losing the experience for those moving faster.
- Manage the kinds of situations no manual covers: connectivity failures mid-session, participants who are lost, requests that fall outside the agenda.
Facilitation support
- Co-facilitate selected sessions under the lead of the CEO or senior facilitators.
- Lead standalone modules (onboarding, digital tools intro, Q&A sessions) as your comfort grows.
- Contribute ideas for how sessions can be improved. Your frontline view is valuable.
What we’re looking for
We are not looking for a specific degree. We are not asking for a portfolio of AI certifications. We are looking for someone whose work history, projects, or experiences demonstrate a specific set of capabilities, regardless of how they were acquired.
Non-negotiable
- You have managed or supported large-scale programs with many moving parts and many people, and things did not fall apart.
- You are the person others come to when something is unclear, broken, or unexpected, because you figure it out.
- You communicate in writing with precision and warmth. No corporate filler. No vagueness.
- You have used AI tools as a user or learner. You understand what it feels like to be on the learning side of that.
- You work independently. You don’t wait for instructions when the situation is clear.
Strong signals (not requirements)
- You have coordinated events or programs across multiple countries or time zones.
- You have experience working with or within international organizations, NGOs, or government-adjacent contexts.
- You have stood in front of a room, physical or virtual, and run a session or workshop.
- You have experience working with participants from marginalized or underserved communities.
- You have a point of view on how AI learning should work and you are not shy about sharing it.
Don’t have some of the requirements but still feel you’re a good fit? Convince us in your cover letter.
What this role is not
- It is not a passive coordination role. You’ll be expected to think, adapt, and improve, not just execute.
- It is not a research or strategy role. The work is operational and relational.
- It is not a rigid 9-to-5. Programs run across time zones. Some flexibility in your schedule is essential.
What you’ll get
- Exposure to some of the most interesting AI learning work happening in the international development space.
- Real investment in your own AI skills. The CEO will actively develop your capabilities.
- A front-row seat to how AI transformation actually works inside governments and institutions.
- Room to grow. If you’re excellent, the role grows with you.
How to apply
Send a CV and/or a cover letter, but don’t write a generic cover letter. Tell us about one time you managed something complex and chaotic, and what you actually did to keep it together. That’s what we want to know.
Please also include: your expected salary for part-time and full-time engagement (in USD or your preferred currency), your preferred working time zone, and your earliest available start date.
Following the application instructions is your test.
