AI for Good Programme

Free AI support for institutions that need it most.

Sia is opening part of its time each year to organizations that cannot buy consulting at commercial rates: UN agencies, NGOs, universities and public sector bodies. Free consultation, capacity building for your staff, or a full AI transformation strategy built for your institution. No fee, and no sales pitch waiting at the end of it.

What we offer

Three ways we can help

Free consultation

A working session on a specific question: where to start with AI, whether a proposed system is a good idea, how to brief a vendor, what belongs in an AI policy.

Capacity building

Briefings and hands-on training for staff. AI literacy for non-technical teams, and training-of-trainers so the knowledge stays in the institution.

AI transformation strategy

A tailored roadmap: readiness assessment, priority use cases, governance guardrails, and a sequence your teams can actually execute.

UN agencies & international organizations NGOs & development organizations Universities & research institutions Governments & public sector Indigenous communities Rural & remote areas

We read every submission. What we can take on depends on the fit with our team and what is already on our plate, and we will tell you either way rather than leave you waiting.

Why we run it

Safe, inclusive, and worth building

We advise institutions whose decisions reach people directly: social protection, health services, education, humanitarian response. The organizations with the least money to spend on advice are often the ones whose AI decisions carry the most weight for the people they serve.

So the same standard applies to every system we help design. We turn down work we think will cause harm, we say so when AI is the wrong tool for the problem, and we build capacity inside an institution rather than dependency on us. Where a system affects people who had no say in it, we push for that group to be in the room before anything is designed.

How it works

01

Tell us about the problem

The form below takes about ten minutes. Specific problems get better answers than general interest.

02

A short call

Thirty minutes to check we have understood the problem and that we are the right people for it.

03

Scope in writing

We agree what we will do, what you will do, and by when. Written down, so nobody is guessing.

Apply

Request support

One form for all three kinds of support. If you are not sure which one you need, say so in the last question and we will work it out on the call.

Trouble with the form above? Open it in a new tab, or write to contact@siaconsulting.ai.

Questions people ask

What does it cost?

Nothing. There is no fee, and taking part does not commit you to buying anything from us later.

What do you ask for in return?

Sometimes permission to describe the work publicly, either named or anonymised, so other institutions can learn from it. You can decline and still get the support.

How long does an engagement run?

It depends on the problem. Some are settled in a single session; a strategy for a large institution takes several weeks of part-time work.

Can a private company apply?

The programme is for the four groups listed above. Commercial organizations are welcome to reach out about paid work.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, if your institution needs one. Say so in the form and we will handle it before the first call.

We are a foundation or a technology company. How do we support this?

Foundations fund places, cohorts, or open material. Technology companies can donate tool subscriptions, compute or API credits, or engineering time. Either way you receive a written account of where the contribution went. Write to contact@siaconsulting.ai and we will send the detail.
